For the Christian death is only temporary, we look forward to that day because we will live eternally in heaven.

The peace we have comes from the one who has kept all his promises to us.

He promised us he would suffer, die, and rise..

Luke 24:46He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

Then he delivered..
Acts 10:39"We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, 40but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.

He promises us salvation through faith..
Hebrews 9:27Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

He will deliver.

Are you afraid to die?

AJ, we are saved by faith alone, not by our works so we can't brag.

Ephesians 2:8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.

The Law demands that perfection, but only Jesus could acheive it. That is why God sent him for us. So that we can be saved through him.

Not at all! I'm actually excited about the day I get to go and be with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, although it's always hard for loved ones who are temporarily left behind.

P.S.
Jesus did rise from the dead which is why we can look forward to His return.

I am atheist, so most of that I do not believe in, but I am not here to bash your beliefs. I am not afraid to die, but I don't want to at my ripe age. Me, believing in nonexistence after death, which is a hard concept to grasp, have some qualms about death, but generally no. I will sort of miss a lot of stuff, but no being will solve that issue.

No I'm not afraid. And I'm not Christian. I am going to be reborn into a new life after this body dies. My soul will choose a situation where I will learn the lessons I need to learn. You know, re-incarnated.

Nope, I don't believe I, the soul, dies. I am the soul that lives in the human body. I existed before this lifetime and I will exist after it.

I am agnostic, and I am not afraid to die. I fear pain. There is no pain in death.
