Actually I have been around both groups of illegals and noticed the differences and was surprised to read that the Savadorians were the stud horse of MS13!

Sadly, a lot of Salvadorian teens in LA got into the gang culture; eventually many of them got deported to El Salvador (which at the time of the deportations was recovering from a decade long civil war).
The country was awash with weapons and criminal elements. Put several thousand teen gang members in that environment, and now you have MS13, a brutal organized crime and gang.
It's like everywhere, you take a member of the Russian mafia and he is 100% the opposite of your common Russian citizen. Same with the Yakuza or the Colombian mafias - their members are totally the opposite of their common folk.

The MS13 (Mara Salvatrucha 13) was started in El Salvador many years ago, not in LA like someone answered, and not by Mexicans as many people think. This gang has been spreading all over the world actually.

I guess you finally know about that. It is an El Salvadorian gang. The reason they made the news grade was because of their possible dealings with Al quida last year. Mara Salvatrucha is now known as one of the most violent gangs in this country. They don't bat an eye at murdering their victims in the most horrendous ways to serve as lessons and terrify people so that they would not cooperate with the authorities. They deal heavily in Narcotics, smuggling immigrants, and what have you. Any one of those smuggling routes can carry in a bomb, and the MS gang would be good candidates for that job if it paid enough. The biggest concentrations of them seem to be near Washington DC, some in California, some in Chicago, etc, about 33 states in total. They are said to assault black people. As you know, Mexicans and Latinos can be a very racist bunch of people. You'd better not be black and in Mexico. The MS-13 rites include assaulting a black woman.
Eh....why are we on immigration all the time?

MS 13 was created in Los Angeles by Salvadorian refugees.. Because of the Salvadorian civil war,, many escaped and found themselves in LA, so they started the gang there. Just like 18th street gang.
The US deported many illegal salvadorians so they brought their gang life with them to el salvador and central america, so now those countries are the center of many gang wars.
MS 13 is known to be very violent and aggressive as their main rival in el salvador, mara 18 ( 18th st gang)

We watched a documentary about this gang and I was surprised to hear this as well. I don't know how Mexicans became affiliated with them but they have tried to promote some gang activity in this small town. The ones who were known to do so were arrested.

la mara salvatrucha is a gang that is growing in the last count it is in 38 state in american and it is moving in all directions mexico, guatemala etc but basicly it is a way tu survive in the street for one most stick to his own so it was created for protection but the futere is almost certain that ms13 is here to stay
