All I know is that: Hezbollah is using women and children to hide behind, then they've crossed the line to terrorism. The Israelis are attempting to limit collateral damage but how can one when the enemy uses the citizenry in such a fashion?
Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers which is how this conflict began. Hezbollah is also indiscriminately firing missiles into Israel without regard to where those missiles land. The Israelis are doing their best to avoid civilian targets but Hezbollah does not. And where did Hezbollah get so many missiles? Syria? Iran?
I'm with Israel on this one.

Agree totally.
The concepts are simple, killing is wrong, power is corruption, ignorance is blindness. if people can't even grasp these simple idea, then the destruction of human civilization is inevitable.
Media cannot be trusted, any form of media is biased. None of us know what actually happened unless you are involved. The truth is not whether Isreal are killing innocent civilians or Hezbollah are really fighting for a God, the truth is that innocent civilians are the casuality of war, period, end of story. Don't take things at face value, media are meant to manipulate the mass, fueling more hatred between cultures. However there is no good remedy for that, try to read prints from different sources, you will see things at a different perspective. Whatever people say, that's their opinion, as long as they are not forcing their opinions on you, then it's all good.
No one is ever right, nor is anyone ever wrong. It's another fundamental concept that we as human cannot comprehend, because every individual think that they are always right. All the answers you see here are merely opinions. It's funny how many of them are stated with assertion. Were they actually on the battlefield? Did they actually live through the history of the conflicts? What people are saying are simply reiteration from other people's opinion, or websites, which also come from other sources, so where is the origin of that information? Can their claims be justified? I don't know, nor do I have the right to judge. You have to decide for yourself.
Conclusion - make no assertion of things. Even when you think photos and media clips are real (as you can see them), they may not be. Staged photo and video are not new, look up on Pallywood or any form of Western propaganda.

You're a smart cookie, but alas..I don't think there will ever be a great answer to your question..and you're right, not all of these people are terrorists, depends on which point of view you have. The colonies had terrorists, some run by the Sons of Liberty. We called them Revolutionary soldiers. But people seem to forget that. Leaders are at a stand still, or so it seems, no one wants to back down for fear of looking the wuss, that's paraphrased, they are trying to protect their own, which is their right. There is too much discord in that area of the world to come up with a simple solution to this situation..I just hope we(America) stop getting involved.

It is the very people in control that want this to happen. We cannot believe, as educated people, that the United State's Government was unaware of how their actions in Iraq would destablize a region that has historically been cautious and weary of "western civilization." The end result of our foreign policy as evidenced by events taking place today is exactly what the current administration has hoped for. The instability in the Gulf and the Middle East has caused the cost of oil to sky rocket. As a result, nature preserves and offshore habitats that were once protected from oil exploration are now open to drilling. Is it really any wonder then that all these American oil companies over the last several quarters have consistently posted some of their largest profits, ever?
With the growing rhetoric coming out of Iran and the implications of Iran with Hezbollah and Hamas, and with Iran's clear hatred towards Israel, the region is only bound to spiral deeper into crisis.
By allowing the Israelis to do as they please, the american government is quite simply stating to the world that if things get worse for the Israeli's, that there are already 130,000 american troops in Iraq ready to provide assistance.
This whole "war on terrorism" is a facade, a ruse, an excuse to move into areas where we can exert our influence, destabilize an entire region and drive the cost of commodities and consumer staples to new highs so that the corporations, their lobbyists, and their political supporters can amass more wealth.
It was never about protecting American liberties. We have lost those as well. Police can now enter our homes without knocking on our doors or announcing themselves.
The real question is why is it that when we look at the people who run our country, that most all of them are wealthy? Defense contractors, oil companies, and thousands of elite wealthy corporate executives and politicians have experienced economic boons in their private investment portfolios, while the common man has suffered.
We've lost our rights to privacy and the taxes taken from our wages are used to sponsor the events and agendas that have destabilized the world.
It's about greed. American society's focus has become obsessed with the possession and acquisition of material wealth. While we distract ourselves with these things, the people who represent us to the world would use things such as religion and false military reports to galvanize a nation to war as a way to manipulate world markets and destabilize world regions as a way of maintaining our status as a "super power".
In the end it is all just a sad testament as to how far humanity has fallen from the true ideals and acts of wonder of which we are capable of.
What's missing is honesty, trust, integrity, and respect for our global neighbors. Instead of finding ways to exchange cultures and to improve global prosperity throug co-existence, we instead continue to find ways to segregate and divide peoples to the point where their only recourse left is to use violence.
And when they do, we call them terrorists and kill them.
The only true way to change all of this is to change our political system. There needs to be more accountability and honesty in th White House, and above all else, a new foreign policy based on fostering growth and prosperity of all nations.
We need to stop being takers, and become givers. I'm doing my part, it's not much, but I currently sponsor children in Africa and help provide them with medicince and education. If I can make a difference one child at a time, then so be it.
Of all the people running our country, from the White House to the Senate and Congress to each State's Capitol... how many of those people that run our country are making an effort to improve the lives of those without?

First of all let me throw the definition of terrorist out there for you.
This is taken out of the dictionary for the definition of terror/terrorist:
4 : violent or destructive acts (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands.
That is exactly what the Hezballah is doing, so yes, they are terrorists.
Those people have been fighting over that same piece of land for thousands of years, and will be fighting over that same strip of land for thousands more. They will never be satisfied until the other has been completely wiped out. Israel is defending itsself, and I see no problem with that. You bring up 9/11, so i'll bounce this off of you....Bush (albeit a gigantic failure) sent our troops into Afghanistan to defend the USA after 9/11 and root out the cells over there. Israel is doing the same by trying to drive the Hezballah out of rocket range from Israel.
There will be no winner in this whole thing. Unfortunately they will be killing each other long after we are gone.

"One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter". While we think the Taliban and Al-Q are terrorist organizations, the Taliban was a political group in the mideast for over 30 years. So, to some they are not terrorists at all, but rather idealogical fighters for freedom from the great satan. Same case in the Israel/Hez conflict.......to one group, it is aboutdefending themselves from attacks by attacking, while Hez has stated in the past their desire to eradicate the state of Israel......sound like a terrorist to you? I am sure it does to Is....which is why they are fighting....To many, the US are the terrorists, but, I do not believe that myself, since that would make me a terrorist. I do not delude myself into believing that everyone likes me, or my job, but this is the side I have chosen, and I stand by it. Everyone will decide what they choose to believe, and the winner gets to call the other guy the terrorist. That is how the history books get written, by the victor.
As for Carol's statement, I think we are winning, unless you can name one major terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11, after which we took the fight to them in Iraq and Afgh......

Oh so you mean that Hezbollah bombing a US embassy a few years back wasn't a terrorist act?
That makes sense...
The fact that they aren't terrorists to all doesnt justify what they did. Al Queda aren't terrorists in the eyes to the extremist Muslims, are they justified then? Your point is flawed and therefore void.

Your facts are wrong on Hezbollah.
During the 6 years occupation of Lebannon many lebanize faught beside Isreal against Hezbollah and worked in Isreal.
Many Sunni Muslims are anti-hezbollah and all Christians are.
As are the Kurds and Druse.
They find support among only the radical shiite group.
Most Lebannonize didn't want Isreal to leave. They feared the Hezbollah take over and it did happen.
Isreal left because the Islamic terriorists kept killing them and finally one day just pulled out. Many didn't want them to.
For 6 years they had done horrible atrocities to Isreal. They just got tired of it. America had one act of terriorism and look what they did. so far to date they have committted over 5560 acts of murder and violence.

Unless you confessed, the loss of miranda warnings manner not anything. law enforcement officials often arrest whomever they believe is the predominant aggressor. That does now not imply you're responsible. If you'll exhibit that you just have been protecting your self you will have to be acquitted. If it used to be retribution, and now not prevention, then you'll be convicted. The witnesses (your mother and father) should not have absolutely the vigour to drop the cost because the cost is made via the prosecutor. However, many prosecutors will do as they ask. As for graphics of your accidents, you're unfastened to get them now. Cops don't seem to be required to acquire all viable proof and certainly that could be not possible.

You think, therefore you are dangerous...
Israel is using excessive force to punish Lebanon for a crime which they themselves commit on a daily basis.
Hezbollah is using kidnapping and murder to punish Israel for their propensity for kidnapping and murder.
It will not stop, unfortunately, until someone takes the moral high ground. I'm not holding my breath...
The difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter is perception. The 1986 U.S. bombing of Libya is listed by the UN's Committee on the Legal Definition of Terrorism as a "classic case" of terrorism on a short list that includes the bombing of PAN AM 103, the first attempt made on the World Trade Center, and the bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Building.
The FBI's definition of terrorism: "Terrorism is the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives."
Following the FBI definition, our government has repeatedly, in country after country, used "force or violence" "unlawfully," "to intimidate or coerce a government, [a] civilian population, or [a] segment thereof," in order to achieve "political or social objectives."
In 1981, the CIA began to organize the "Contras" many of whom had already received training from the U.S. military as members of the Somozas' National Guardsmen to overthrow the progressive Sandanista government. In other words: the CIA "harbored," recruited, armed and trained the Contras, in order to "coerce" and overthrow a government, and terrorize a people, through violent means ("in furtherance of political [and] social objectives")
Typical "do as I say, not as I do" US foreign policy. We have become that which we despise.
Sorry for ranting.
