My husband was divorced in the late 60's. My husband's 1st wife has never had anything to do with her kids. Her grandmother and my husband's family were the ones that raised them. They are 40+ years old and since the divorce papers say he had to pay thru court, which he was advised not to because the children would never get any benefit from it. The woman stayed in nightclubs and layed out with men, her grandmother told us. So to see the children were taken care of my husband, his family and even me made sure the children had what they needed. Now the grandmother is dead and no way to prove this. This woman is right now living with 3 men and about 30 inside dogs. My husband's check to her is paying for one of her men's pick-up truck. How can I get help.

The divorce agreement needs to be altered. Obviously if the children are of age, child support should no longer be taken out of his check. If this is alimony, then, as I said, the agreement will have to be altered. To do that, you're going to have to get a lawyer.

Good luck!

Hello, first who actually has the kids makes little difference to the court, it is who the court has ordered the money to be paid to.

Now my question is this, if he divorced in the 60's, the kids would have to in their 40's now, child support is paid till they kids are 18 or 21, so why is support still being paid.

next the kids can be asked where trhey are living and who they are living with in court, next there will be school records as to where the kids are living.

If the person is not suppose to be getting any money, merely hire an attorney and go to court.

Call CPS first. If she has children living with the man of the week in a house with 30 dogs, she needs to be reported. Also, get a good lawyer and any records of payment your husband has made. Your lawyer can subpoena her records as well to try and find out where this money goes. She sounds like a low life who doesn't deserve to have children. Best of luck!

Disability is usually exempt from figuring in alimony payments, get a good lawyer and he may be able to keep it all.

It's not your deal, it is his. Why does he give her the money? But it's up to him to do something, not you.
