yup, the first requirement to become a citizen is to be 18. you don't need a lawyer to do this. save your money and you can do it yourself. lawyer is for someone that can't understand english.

when you turn 18, file form n400. go to www.uscis.gov for all the info you need.

you'll need a copy of your green card, passport

If you are a legal permanent resident - have a green card - of the US, you can apply for citizenship at any time once you have fulfilled the residency requirements. Whether or not you can become a US citizen has nothing to do with where you came from. You can apply when you're 18, or 28, or 68. There is nothing about the naturalization process that changed since 9/11. All the answers above this one are wrong except for Jean's.

Here is the official guide to naturalization; it should answer all your questions:

You'd need to go through the paper work, but you have from the age of 18 to 21 to file for citizenship. After 21, you'd have a hard time getting accepted.

It depends on what country you were born in & what country your parents were born in. Things are getting very tricky & just because you have been here does not mean you are automatically allowed to stay. A lot of Indonesians are being deported because they assumed that an American Education was enough to ensure their being able to stay in the U.S. & others think that by getting married, they can also stay & this is just not true. Your parents should have started your paperwork. You should contact the consulate & find out what is needed.
