I was fishing for catfish the other day with a live goldfish, and accidentally caught a twelve pound carp. It was sweet, and I was just wandering what else works good for big carp.

pour some big red into a box of wheaties and crunch it up with your hand untill you can make like dough balls out of it, ball it up on a treble hook and hang on.

For a lot of fun, and if your state regulations allow for it, I would try bowfishing for them. A cheap compound bow, a reel that fits into the stabilizer hole, and a fishing arrow and you are set. I have had days on Eastman Lake in Central California where I have shot over 300 lbs in a day, with many of the fish 15 to 20 lbs. It can be an awful lot of fun.

on the surface bread crust or dog buiscut and on the bottom catfood,luncheon meat,sweetcorn or fish pellets.
