hm...............babysit with people you know and ask them to tell their friends about you, but it really would be hard at 12, because most want babysitters about 15 unless you are really mature

Depends what state you are in, some states will not let you babysit until you are 13 or 14. Find out what the legal limit for your state is and then put the bug in some neighbors ear. I'm sure if they like you they will tell their friends. Also, tell your parents to tell some people at work. You'll have a job in no time.
It would help if you took a CPR class and a babysitting class at the local YMCA.

Have you ever heard of the BabySitter's Club (the children's book from Ann M. Martin)? This is a book about girls your age running a Babysitter Club. Anyway, I think you should ask for your parents permission, Be Responsible as to not let your grades slip or your chores, pass out flyers and post them around your neighborhood, On your flyers include: BabySitter in large handwriting or font, At the bottom include: name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, with the time, days you work, and your days off including holidays. Ask your parents to show you how to advertise on the computer too. Create a website at freewebs.com.*Tell your parents that you can have an older sibling walk you to and from the house or one of them can drive you, for your safety, of course.* I hope that I helped you.

You just said you are 11 in your last question? How old are you? If you are 12 you can go to your local fire station and pay $15-20 for CPR/First Aid training. I would never hire a kid to watch my children that did not have that training. Also check with your local YMCA to see if they offer babysitting classes.

According to Georiga law, you have to be 13 to legally babysit. Since you are only 12, you arent even allowed to stay home alone longer than 2 hours.

Didn't you just ask this question for an 11 yr old? You can get a job helping with a day care, so when you are 13 you'll know what you're doing.

are you twelve or are you 11 you have the same question posted twice just with different ages. and twelve year olds are great babysitters for a short period of time find someone that knows you and has kids ask if you can babysit while they run errands or something to show that you are trust worthy.

I dont think that Ryan's mom needed to be that harsh on ya. I think it all depends on the person and how muture they are. Yes I agree if your going to babysit, I think you will need CPR training. My husband use to be an EMT., and I know he would agree with me..And one more thing, I also it depends on what state you live in too..

put in a good resume as you post, like put how many years you are experienced, if you have younger siblings, tell how much you love kids, and not just worried about the money, I am a parent and that is what I would want to hear.
