I'd be more wary if he wasn't nice to the waitress.
perhaps when you are old enough you should become a waitress for a while, so you can get perspective that will serve you well in life.

He should be nice to her. Waitressing is hard work. Saying "please" and "thank you" and being pleasant is important.
Now, if he is flirting with the waitress in front of you, then he's being a jerk.

Doh. You're an *sshole if you're not nice. Waiters get paid $2.13 per hour plus tips. You're pretty much a horrible person if you're not nice to them since they bring your food and serve you.
