I have been friends with this girl since the 6 th grade....I have had a crush on her for about that long too...she moved a few hours away like 3 or 4 years ago...but we still talk...well we did...until like 6 months ago when she just stopped calling...i still make the effort to send her text messages every now and then. About a month ago I sent her a text message wishing her an early happy birthday...she did not know who it was and when i told her she called me cutie-pie or something of that nature...she has never showed any interest in me at all before....well she has said i love you at the end of our phone conversations but i thought she meant it as like a friend thing...have i been such a blind idiot or am i just looking too far into this?

You'll never know until you ask. It could mean she likes you and is too shy to tell you, or she feels comfortable with you and does love you, but love as in a brother figure. ASK ASK ASK and then let us know...=)

If you two stopped talking about 6 months ago then it seems like she was saying it as friends. You could always ask her why she used to say "I love you" at the end of your conversations.

she probably has moved on. we do tat u kno. altho it was sweet of u to wish her a happy b-day and she should have responded better to that
