duh. Hebrews 4:12 shows that God's Word is "alive and sharper than any two-edged sword." any regular book written by humans can't be described by "alive." think of this.
If you dictate to someone, and they write down what you say--word for word--who is the one responsible for the concepts behind the statements? Is it you, or is that other person? It's you, because you thought of what to say, the other just recorded it onto paper. That's how the Bible was written, God "spoke", man recorded. He "inspired" men and they wrote down His Word. Mark 13:31 says that "when all things have passed away, God's Word will still exist!" the Bible has to be God's Word. 2 Timothy 3:15-17 shows us the BIBLE IS GOD'S THOUGHTS AND WORDS! If God is God, there can be no contradictory statements in His Word. People take things out of context, force them to fit their wishes, and say "hey look, it's contradictory." goes to show them how dumb they are. Jesus existed, 500 people saw Him ascend.

I really doubt that the bible is the 'word of God' only because it was written at the time of the events and there are so many contradictions in it that doubt is cast on its authenticity. In particular the Old testament is the record of an oral tradition but there is no historical evidence for the main characters. The exodus from Egypt would surely have been a major even but even though the Egyptians kept records of their history no mention is made of Moses. The New testament is a selection of a few dozen 'testaments' made by the council of Nicaea. Even the ones chosen those of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John do not support, but rather contradict each other. Why would the word of God contain so many errors? And how does that inspire confidence in the work. At the end of the bible there is a warning that dire consequences would be visited on anyone who either added to or subtracted from the bible. It doesn't seem to have put off many religious pundits (Leaders of the Church) from doing just that. If the Leaders can't get it right what hope for the rest of us?

Gods word has never truly been written.
It cannot be written, it is a sublime thing, beyond the capacity for any form, any thing, to capture.
Some books are a TESTAMENT to Gods word, written by those who were open to perceiving and receiving it.
When we read inspired words, words which originate from the contact of some person with Gods ineffable Word, it is possible, if we have the right attitude, the willingness and capacity to see, to be shown the Word from which the words originated, the Word which cannot be written.
Even the purest vessel, the most devout soul, anointed by God to receive his word, can express only a part of what they have received, but it is expressed anyhow, so that others may contact the true Living Word, which cannot be written.
Over time however, people interpret the words, which is not the same as contacting the Living Word, the Living Word which is an invisible, ineffable and Holy thing. People translate and can change the meaning, leaving a human mark on something which otherwise may be sacred, and once pure.
God does not speak in the words that man uses, however, God speaks as Living Spirit, which is ever beyond the world, and alive in Itself, in Holiness.
So THROUGH something like the Bible, the Living Word may be contacted, but the Bible itself is a work of man, a testament to Gods Word, even though it may have been inspired by the Spirit.
This is a differentiation that anyone who in truly interested in the Living Spirit must make.
If it is the Living Spirit we seek, we may find it wherever it speaks, not only in one book.
"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
"the letter or form killeth, but the Spirit gives Life"

God wouldn't have used words, since he is all powerful and could get his message across better with a telepathic message of some kind. So, the Bible scribes had to interpret.
And then even if he did dictate word for word, it has been interpreted from other languages and "religious men of power" have made changes. For example, who decided which books went into the Bible? And what about all those other people who said God spoke through them? Were they just crazy?
"If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God."

Let's just say the Bible is all we have, but it's just a book. The Bible wasn't originally written in English, so someone interpreted it to mean what they thought it said and there are many different Bibles written in English. It's good to read the Bible with others and discuss what it says means to you. Perhaps in the end you will agree with others as to the meaning or you may want to start a new religion on your own.

The bible is a book, that anonymous people wrote in under alias' to explain things that were unexplainable and to make their beliefs everyones beliefs, thus trying to conquer the world by faith and religion, much like in Egypt way back when. The bible is a myth, as much as Roman or Greek myths are myths, so is the bible.

And please do no longer tell me that the lack of evidence is in certainty evidence. additionally, i'm curious of your source(s) that time out that many non secular each and every person is admitting they actually do no longer understand if God exists....the thought in God has constantly been in accordance with faith. lower back, how are you able to tutor the unprovable? Do you have a particular way? there's no conclusive evidence that black holes exist, in basic terms mathematical calculations...the comparable with suspected planets out area of our image voltaic device. yet my wager is you believe black holes exist. and how approximately evolution? maximum human beings mistakenly believe that Darwin proved evolution. in certainty, flow to any library and you will discover that each and each creditable e book (meaning scientifically based) on the undertaking is stated "the belief of evolution". It has neither been shown nor unproven. So, do you believe in evolution or no longer. No. You are saying the Bible is god's word because the Bible says so. That's called circular logic and it doesn't work.
