I always hear that those women who seek out relationships with much older men must've had poor relationships with their fathers and look for "daddy replacements". But for me that's not true! My dad is a wonderful man and I love him a lot. I've just always, ever since I was old enough to be interested in boys, found the older boys to be more desirable than those my own age (I'm 21 now). So I ask you Yahoo users, who I all assume have PhD's in this sort of thing (LOL), what's up with me?

It works both ways. If you and your dad had a great relationship then you were lucky to form your first female/male relationship with a stable, mature, and secure man. It make sense that you'd want a man like that for a husband. There's nothing wrong with you.

Your smart to want an older man. First off he'll be more mature and "set" in life than a boy your age. Second they come with experience and 10 chances to 1 the sex will be awesome ! I'm 23 and have had relations with a man that is 38. WOW ! He was definitely what I wanted and some ........ Give it a try, you never now what will come out of it ! Good Luck

I have been flirted with by 2 girls in thier early 20s just recently and I am way past 40 so I would say it is more normal than I thought. When I asked how many young girls were turned on by older men several yes's came back. I have been too cautious to respond to these girls but now maybe I will!!

My husband is 10 years older then me, and I have never been so happy in my life!! My ex husband is the same age as me, and we didn't work out. I didn't have a great relationship with my father, but..... I certainly didn't fall in love with hubby #2 to make up for that. I fell for him because he is the sweetest, kindest....well, you get it. Don't worry, there are no psycological issues involved! Just a need for someone with a mental age over 10.

There is nothing wrong with you. You just have a thing for older men. Everyone one has his or her like or dislike. It is a natural part of life. Just do what makes you happy and comfortable. Once the man is not owned by some one else, you go for it!

People are different. Some prefer older people and some prefer younger. In rare cases some people even like people their own ages. In most cases when someone likes older people, they tend to be more advanced socially then their age. It is true, however, that in some cases the older guy attraction is due to wanting to please your dad (psychologically) figure, or wanting to be more dominated than normal. Good Luck

considering u are 21 then no, nothing wrong with it,{unless your talking 60 or 70}. Actually i think that happens more in these days and times than in years past. Us men have no problem at all with your type of preference, 4 sure. lol

when you and the rest of the people are in a restaurant, eating....you eat what pleases you....not what pleases others....so if you are attracted to older men, it could be for the daddy replacement thing, but not necessarily...in your case, you love older man because of their mature procedures or they have more older attributes....just be careful....make wise decisions on this type of relationships.....take care and deal with it, specially with your parents....cause I think they wont like your idea...but is your decision.....write back at mil_millones_vivir@yahoo.com

Nothing your perfectly normal. Alot of women go through that phase where they like older men. You may eventually leave it alone but if not I would say make sure you find someone whom is going to respect you as a person and not think of you as a kid. Good luck.

It is perfectly acceptable to be who you are in this situation. I have dated women 20 years older than me and 15 years younger (The young one was mistake city!). Just don't do the Anna Nicole Smith thing, thats just gross.
