so i just found out from a friend who is really close with my ex that she still wants to be with me in the end. we were together for two years and have been broken up for the last year. she still feels that i am the one for her when she wants to settle down. and i am still in love with this girl. she is everything to me still. i know it sounds lame. i just want to know should i keep doing my thing and wait for her or do i date other people when the opportunity arises?

If you two both still want to be with one another.. then get back together. BUT if for some reason one of you wants to be queer about it and not get back together, don't put your life on hold. Date. Go out. Have fun.

I have only one thing to say:
There was a reason for the breakup in the first place. Don't go back. 9 out 10 relationships that break up and get back together end up breaking up again. Give her up and heal yourself because if you do get back together and then breakup again the hurt could be even worse.

Do you really want to be with someone who says that if they can't find anything better they want to be with you? I'm sorry but that is what it really comes down to. She isn't ready to settle down because she hasn't found the person she wants to settle down with yet.
Now, as to not completely smash your hopes, I do have a friend who after several years of waiting for her BF to want to settle down eventually did get him back. However, to be fair its just because he couldn't find aything better.
Please don't wait for her, there are litteraly millions of people out there, and you don't have to wait.

let me ask you the million dollar question........what makes you think that the things that split you up in the first won't just come right back and spoil it again??? just stay friends, sje's probably just coming back to you because no one else will have her
