There are four breweries in New York City: Chelsea Brewing Company, Brooklyn Brewery, Sixpoint Craft Ales and Green Point Beer Works (they brew for the Heartland Brewery chain.
The best places to drink beer in Brooklyn are: Mugs Ale House and Spuyten Duyvil

Try the Brooklyn Brewery. They have really great beer and they make it all there. They have a ton of different kinds. Its located on North 11th between Berry and Wythe street in Williamsburg. I go there all the time.

There's good ole Genesee and Genesee Cream Ale from N.Y.
Too bad they don't brew Rhingold anymore.

idk about good places to drink in Brooklyn, but my favorite beer is Rolling Rock.
