The Bible doesn't cover the age of consent at all, which means that which we call statutory rape is not sinful but for its occuring outside of marriage. Of course, the age at which one can marry isn't established in the Bible either.

That's a very good question! I have a few books I can look in, but I've actually never thought about it. I'm going to look that up to find out. I believe just because you ask such a question, does not make you a monster. That is one of the reason this sight is here, to ask things we don't know hopping someone else does. I hope the answer is resolved.
To JT: There is no way, a 3 year old does not talk in as clearly words or complete sentences like she talked whwn they first met. Plus, I seriouslu doubl a 3 year old could or would be getton and off a camel by herself, muchless ride the thing by herself. I don't know where you get your info, but it's definately not the Bible.

I don't think pedophilia is in the Bible, but I do know that it says sex out of wedlock is wrong. So if a man/woman is having sex with a younger person who was not old enough to be married that would be wrong.

A good point to include in your argument may be to remember that pedophilia is taking away someone's rights and involves people who do not have the capacity to consent. That is why it is against the law.

The Bible does say to follow the laws of the land.
The laws of our land say that pedophilia is a crime.
You can draw your own conclusions from that.

It doesn't matter what the bible says about it - those are just opinions of ancient godists. What matters is how people feel about it and the consequences of the act itself. It is an act not condoned by society and there need not be a debate on the issue.

Romans 1:18-32.
Also, Jude 1:7"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

The bible actively supports pedophilia.
Abraham's son, Isaac, when he was 40, married Rebekah when she was 3 years old.
And, they invented "Jews" according to the bible myths.
I wonder why Christians refuse to obey their own admonishment to follow every word in the bible? Why aren't they prostituting their wives and giving their infant daughters in marriage to 40 year old men?
The bible makes no such claim regarding the "sanctity of marriage."
Abraham and Isaac both prostituted their wives, according to the bible myths.

The Bible says that many things are wrong, without actually saying they are wrong.
Have you read every page of the bible? Have you read everypage of the new testament, old testment and the actual bible?
Also, the bible says to obey the law.
Well I guess you can't help your feelings, but you can help not to act on them.
