Same reason 25 year old American "rednecks" cruise around in their broken down pick up trucks and BLARE Garth Brooks,with their wives and all the kiddies, on their way to Walmart....its somethin' to do on a Saturday night. And they are assimilated into: waving the flag, driving while talking on a cell phone, piercings, tattoos, charge cards, false nails, boob jobs, the Shopping Channel, and even going to church on occasion. Why do you think that others in the world need to suit your concept of whats right and wrong? I don't particularly relish seeing people who are obviously not too sharp wasting their lives ( I think) running around in "my" privileged, well educated world and I feel badly for their sometimes deprived and neglected kids. But there you are. We are all God's kids, so to speak, and we all have the right to be here. And its not my place to judge who belongs and who does not. Volunteering at a food bank, I do what I can for others. It beats complaining.
