Well I have a appointment at David's Bridal tommorow and when I told one of my friends she said that if I wanted to save money I should get a dress off of ebay. Supposdly she knows someone that did it, so out of curiosty I looked it up. Alot of the dresses look shady though, I'm wondering has anyone ever actually bought one of these dresses and if so how was your experience?
I think I'm gonna stick to David's Bridal but I'm just curious about this.

I actually just won an auction for my wedding dress on ebay!! I was very reluctant at first because the seller is located in China. Not that there's anything wrong with China, but I didn't want to send money to someone so far away.

I looked at the feedback of the seller, and out of nearly 500 feedback responses, only 3 or 4 were negative and it ended up being the winning bidders fault for not paying or something else like that most of the time. Since I decided to go ahead and bid on a dress, they have been EXCELLENT with communicating with me through email. I was very surprised. They REALLY DO know what they are doing and seem to have a wonderful business.

This particular seller has hundreds of dresses to choose from. You just find one you like, tell them the color and your measurements, and they custom-make the dress for you in about 30-45 days (after you win the auction). They don't actually have a picture of YOUR dress on the auction, but they have the picture of the dress that they design it after.

I have emailed several people who have bought dresses from this seller and EVERY one of them is very pleased and they say their dresses look like something you would pay thousands of dollars for in a boutique or other wedding shop.

I think it's going to be worth it for sure! My dress, including shipping, cost a grand total of $145. This seller also offers crinoline slips and hoop skirts for really cheap (if you are wearing a full-skirted dress). I would recommend it highly. I am going to receive some pictures soon of another girls dress that she bought from them. If you would like, I can send you those pics. Just let me know where to send them if you're interested. You can email me at my Y!Answers username @yahoo.com

Good Luck! I also didn't want to pay $$$ for a wedding dress at David's or somewhere else. The one's that are cheaper at David's aren't as pretty as the ones that they show on the $99 dress sale. I am taking a chance on this Ebay dress, but from what I can tell, it'll be worth it AND I won't have to pay thousands for my dress!

I forgot to mention, I am getting two dresses from this seller since they are so inexpensive, and I'm going to choose which one I like and then sell the other. If it looks as good as I think it will, I'll have no problem finding a buyer!

:) Good Luck! Congratulations from one future bride to another!!

1) Don't go to David's Bridal. I've only had terrible memories from them.

2) Use Ebay as a LAST RESORT. There are plenty of consignment bridal shops as well as lower-end bridal shops that will offer more in your price range.

3) What is your focus? What kind of dress do you want? Some dresses run small, some run large. Why waste time, energy, and money on Ebay when you don't even know if it will look good or fit?

4) Look at places other than David's Bridal. I canNOT stress this enough. If you have a David's Bridal in your town, you have other bridal stores. SHOP AROUND. That's the best advice anyone can give you. SHOP AROUND. Don't settle for less than what you want, but keep in mind alternatives.

I have bought and sold a lot of stuff on Ebay. And I had a very hard time finding the right bridesmaid dresses for my wedding this past June. I looked at the dresses on Ebay, and I just didn't think they were very good quality and all of them seemed to come from China or another far away country. I would stick with David's Bridal, you can find lots of great things there on sale. And you'll know it fits and you'll know you like it. A wedding dress is just too important to trust Ebay with. And I would highly recomend Ebay for anything else. Good luck!

I had a brilliant style of achievement with eBay for my wedding ceremony gown. Your journey ought to be distinctive, reckoning on your broking. i desire you probably did your study first and checked the broking's comments score and regarded at any recent damaging comments. It looks like the deal you got ought to be too solid to be authentic, even though it extremely is eBay, so which you never recognize! make certain which you do have a brilliant style of verbal substitute with the broking, and get a monitoring huge style while the robe ships. Watch it like a hawk until it arrives and while it does, take it out and look at it precise away. If there are any problems with the robe, you opt to alert the broking as quickly as plausible. Get each and every little thing in writing from them!

I have quite a few associates that put their end of season and discontinued dresses on eBay. These are usually designer dresses by the way.

Also, you can check out Dreams by Renee http://www.dreamsbyreneebridal.com They have some absolutely gorgeous dresses PLUS they can make custom dresses based on drawings and/or pictures at reasonable prices! Just to let you know, the prices listed on their site is suggested retail and since I am an authorized rep, I can offer discounts on all of their dresses.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Good luck!

eBay is the largest online marketplace and one of the most popular ways to earn an income from home with a PC and internet connection. Selling on eBay is inexpensive and easy to start. Every seller on e-bay is different. My suggestion is go to a second hand store. That is were I got mine at. I was going to buy mine new. But after I seen that dress I fell in love with it. David's Bridal is expensive.

I would trust ebay over David's Bridal. I have heard too many bad things about that outfit.
