After giving birth to my second child I had an IUD put in and since my cervix wasn't quite as toned as it was after my first pregnancy, the IUD began to slide out and I got pregnant. I had the IUD removed and wound up having a miscarriage.

I did some homework after I was done having kids and chose to have my tubes tied. I am so happy I did because I have no worries and it was a laproscopic tubal so I have no visible scars.... just one tiny 1/4 inch mark inside my belly button and another one that you can't see unless you look really close in my pubic hairline.

I highly recommend a tubal over any other method, that is of course if you are done having babies.

If you are pregnant your doctor can do an ultrasound to see if it is a tubal pregnancy... if it isn't then they can leave the IUD in place and just watch to make sure it doesn't interfere with your pregnancy. (I have a friend who told me he was an IUD accident baby)

If you have it removed you risk losing the pregnancy, but if you aren't ready to have another baby, that might be a better choice.

Carrying a baby with your IUD still in place is considered a high risk pregnancy.

Good luck... I hope everything works out for you ((HUGS))

YEs It is possible to get pregnant with an IUD. It can also be risky taking it out as well. When the Dr. removes the IUD, there is a chance for the baby to drop and cause a misscarriage. You have to sit down and talk to your obgyn about this. Good luck.

Yes, there is a chance to get pregnant even with an IUD. If you suspect pregnancy you need to have it removed, the sooner the better. Either buy one of those home pregancy tests or go to a doctor. Good luck.

You should go to your doctor and talk with him/her.

I personally know someone who did get pregnant with an IUD. She had hers removed and had an uneventful pregnancy, the little one is 3 now.

Anyone can drink breast milk, it isn't hazardous. I believe it is extra an ethical dilemma. Breast milk is for infants, no longer grown ups...eww. And, sure, a lady can produce milk with out pregnancy via taking the hormones that motive ladies to lactate. This is what "rainy nurses" used to do. A rainy nurse might paintings within the sanatorium nursery and nurse infants. This train is not performed anymore in built international locations. Also, relating to an adoptive mom who is simply followed a baby, she will be able to take a blend of hormones to be able to motive her to begin lactating, so she will be able to nurse her child. Hope this is helping.
