I will be in Manassas, Va. for a month, with weekends off, staying in a hotel, anything fun to do?

Dont know if you have been to the greater DC area before, so here are some general ideas:
Cabs thereare good, but the DC metro is awesome so use it, goes from parts of VA into the City. Go into DC viathe Metro, get off at Smithsonian (the museums are FREE!!), grab a quick lunch and eat by the Mall so you can check out the sites. Inthe afternoon, go backon the Metro to Metro Center, get off and ask for directions to Ford's Theatre where Lincoln was shot. It's a block away from the Hard Rock, so eat/drink dinner there.
Also via Metro, you can go to Arlington National Cemetery.

Then you have the Georgetown area to check out - the Exorcist stairs, lots of great bars (ask about getting to this local well-known irish pub, forgot the name but it's a hoot, free local bands play irish drinking songs to entertain you!).
Manassas has some nice parks, hiking trails and Civil War history - Battle of Manassas??? There aresummer concerts as well, if you will be there then. Try the link below for more events on weekends..........enjoy your time there!
