I not sure about all the unsecured people that live in this country. But for me I would only want to hear it back if they meant it, not just out of courtesy. Sincerity and truthfulness when it comes to matters of the heart; then again if we were all sincere then Jerry Springer would be off the air.

Well, I think u should say it back if u mean it, if it is true then why wouldn't u? It only takes a second but the affect can last a lifetime. Once it has been said many times then it is not as important because it has been established. If he continues to say it and u don't reply with an answer, then u could leave him confused or insecure about the way u feel. after all, what u are really expecting by not answering is 4 him 2 read your mind or take it 4 granted. 2 me, that is sort of like playing with his mind,{maybe not intentionally}. If u love him,...just say it. It will mean a lot 2 him........I'm sure.

Sure i would say the words back, some people need the words while some need just the attention to show them how much you love them

Tell him how you feel...maybe he's getting the message you don't care as much for him. It's only 3 little words & takes so little energy to save so much grief. Actions & words together are best.

If you love him, tell him you do. If not, don't. It's as simple as that. He might not be interpretting your actions the way you wish he was. People usually need things like this spelled out for them. Good luck!

If he isn't saying it back or saying it, it sounds like he has changed his position. Ask him if he has. If he doesn't love you and you want this to be a long lasting serious relationship then it's time to move on.

Yes verbal affirmation is important, in addition to actions.
But the real question is: If you love your bf, and you know he wants to hear it, why are you deliberately being nasty to him? What is wrong with you?

My fiance was ready for love alot sooner than I was. I actually asked him to stop saying it because I knew the sentimant was there but I wasnt ready to return it. We traded I love you in for I heart you, it was cute, fun and meaningful. The day I was ready for I love you it meant alot more to him than if I had just said it back because he said it to me.
