Do you know what the walk of shame is? Just look at a Vietnam Veteran. They lost in Vietnam and they walk the walk of shame very well. what's it look like? The person walks as if he or she is constipated then as you walk you look down at your shoes. Then every ten steps you look straight out with a thousand yard stare and then say "Ohhhhhhh! My Gawd!! Ohhhhhh!!! Then you look back down at your shoes and take tiny little steps as you walk like you are constipated.

You know, Erudite, when I first started reading your questions and answers, I got really offended by your comments. Having served in the military, I took personal offense to your anti military comments and deragotary remarks. But then I realized the source those comments were coming from and I realized I was wasting my emotions. I don't believe that you served a day in the military. Or if you did, you were discharged dishonorably, maybe not giving you a chance to find the "glory" you so wanted. I believe that you are just an attention seeking, self confidence lacking, immature young man who spends all of his free time attacking the very people who give you that right because that is the only way you can get people to pay any attention to you. You might end up sharing the same fate as the man who founded forsake the troops.com. He was just like you, blasting anything and anyone military and many people threatened him. There are now rumors that man has been "taken" care of. I hope that he really wasn't hurt, but maybe wisened up, learned to shut up, and keep his ignorant comments to himself. As for you, I know you thrive on all the negative feedback people give you. You aim to shock and horrify military supporters. But if people stopped responding to your "questions" and you no longer had an audience, you would fade into the same obscurity that produced you. So from now on, I'm going to completely ignore any and all things Erudite. And if I do happen to come across you for whatever reason, I will just think, what a sad sad little man, I do hope he gets the help he so deperately needs.

No, we won't be doing th walk of shame, ever, because we've actually thought about our position beyond what our school teachers and MTV tell us to think.

However, if we were to follow on the "no wars for any reason ever whatsoever" bit so many liberals have fallen into, we'd all be doing the walk to the Mosque every Friday, like it or not, in a few decades. When you refuse to stand up for yourself, in the face of an enemy and after an attack, any two-bit anything can become your master.

You want that? You don't like political freedom to choose your religion? You'd rather a world where people who make things like South Park (satire including religious subject matter) are treated the same way, or worse than, murderers?

I mean, seriously, we're dealing with people who, *when we aren't being careful*, can destroy skyscrapers in the heart of our cities, killing thousands of people. We're supposed to do what exactly? Ignore that potential danger? Send them flowers, maybe?

This isn't preschool. This is a the dangerous, real world. You don't deal with acts of war by holding hands and blowing kisses into the wind. Not unless you want to be bloodily subjugated within a mere handful of generations.

Instead, you deal with them by addressing the threat. And if that threat is a region of the world in which totalitarian governments integrated with an oppressive religion grow terriorists habitually and systematically, you (if you are powerful enough, and we are) get a foothold in that part of the world and change is slowly, bit by bit, over decades.

It'll happen, and your children's children will keep their religious freedom because of it.

Yes there are soldiers that fought in the Vietnam war that went through a lot and have back flashes of what went on but in no way could it be considered the "walk of shame". I can guarentee that 99% for the men and women that fight in wars come back proud that they did there part.

Vietnam just had to upper hand cause it was a area we were not custom to and they all would hide underground and pop up when they wanted to. They all fought like cowards.

I served in the Army a few years after Vietnam and I can say no one did this so called walk of shame,that I served with .If you dig deep enough in history you will find out the military did not lose the war in vietnam the political leadership lacked the resolve to fight even after North Vietnam had reneged on its end of the paris peace accords.
Let this be a lesson that : YOU CANNOT REASON WITH TERRORISTS!
