We get them to stop, but once one moves, the other is on him like white on rice. I can't keep yelling at them anymore, it's driving me crazy and it isn't getting me anywhere!! And yes, they are both males and are both fixed.

Would you tell a child to quit playing with his friends?

Your dogs are just being puppies. They will usually continue plying like this for seveal years before they settle down.

My suggestion is to learn to appreciate the fun. Know that if they are tiring each other out, they aren't pestering YOU for attention.

If you can't stand to see them playing like this, then you should not have two dogs. But then know that YOU will need to entertain your one remaining dog. You probably won't want to do that as much as he'll need so we come right back around to learn to appreciate the fun.

It's really harmless and they will not hurt each other.

And please don't torture your pets with painful sprays like Bitter Apple. Not when they are just being fun loving puppies.

This is what I do for my dogs. I will walk over to the dog who is being the aggressive one and hold him by the collar and make a shhhht sound. While you do this tap them on his side. This will make him sit. Release him and if when he starts repeat the process. I also have this spray that you can get from the pet store called "bitter apple" Spray him only in the mouth area. This too can be repeated if he continues. I have used this alot I keep the bottle by the couch on the end table. Now when I tell him no and hold the bottle he remembers the bottle and I don't even have to spray it. Try not to yell just calmly say "no" and he will learn. Good luck

Grab a beer sit back and chill its fun to watch how physical they can be. The muscle tone and the way their bodies move. Their attentiveness to each other and whats around them. Its a whole package to watch.

well if they are not hurting each other, then they are just playing. that is good for them because they are loosing excessive energy that can lead to barking or digging if you don't give them enough exercise. i always have a play date with my dog and his best friend and its fun to watch them. if they are not hurting each other then they are fine.
