Because today was not promised either, but it arrived.
After a few hundred of those arrivals, yesterday leading into today, it seems a good bet that, most of the time, even though it may possibly fail to arrive, most of the time it shows up right on time.
One day our expectation of a new day will be wrong, but in the scheme of things, we'll be wrong only once.

I don't
I live each day as if it were my last. As if I will never have another tomorrow, as if I will never get to talk to my husband again, or my children, or my grand-babies. You never know when you will step off that curb and get hit by a truck. You never know when it will be your time. I never let anyone wonder if I love them..they know. I never hold back how I feel. I never neglect my family for work. I never NOT have a good time when the opportunity presents itself. I don't put aside the "good" china, the "good" clothes, the "good" perfume, or anything like that. I use "the good" every day because I never know when that day will be my last and I don't want my children and husband to have to find "my good" stored in my china cupboard or my cedar chest like I did my grandmother's or my aunt's.
Why? Because one day I came very close to NOT having a tomorrow...very very close. When the doctor wrings his hands and says there is nothing more he can do, that close. So I live each day like there is not going to be a tomorrow.
I don't think you truly live each day as if it is your last until that "almost" day comes for you. I dunno.
I bet there is an anwser you didn't expect eh? :)

Becase if you don't allow for tomorrow in some capacity, you will be screwed when it actually happens. I mean it would be a pretty bad idea to say " I am just going to spend my entire life savings today because tomorrow might not come." But I agree that people put things off too much.

I had two people, both very close to me, die this year. One was my father, the other was a close friend, who was only 18. This showed me that I can no longer put things off, because life can end fast. I've been spending more times with my friends and family, and am working harder to reach my goals at school and work. I tell the people who are important to me that I love them every single day. And even though I am still very sad about the ones who passed, in a way, their deaths helped me realize what I need to do, and I'm happy about that.

My "tomorrow" is promised, by God. My eternity after I pass from this earthly body to receive my glorified body in heaven.
My time and space tomorrow is the only thing not promised. We have the promise that if we live and walk in the Word of God, though, we don't have to be afraid of what faces us tomorrow.

Every Year when I bought my children's notebooks for school, they could always find this little poem inside.
Yesterday is lost in time, tomorrow I can not claim as mine, but today I have each hour free, to gain or loose is up to me. It just seem fitting so I thought I would share that with you.

That's that horrible human nature thing playing...it's human nature to plan for tomorrow, but what God really wants is for us to live as He asks for today and not worry about tomorrow.

Well I don't know if you believe in God or not, but I do and I have learned that you should live today like if is your last day because, you don't know what are the plans for you, and life is so beautiful specially if you are walking life with God. You don't know if tonight or tomorrow is your last day so look for God because trust me Life with HIM is worth living it to the FULLEST. You take it for granted that tomorrow will come.
It is a form of faith.
You believe that it will come and it does.
You have no proof that it will come but you believe it will come.
It is a matter of fact thing to you, it is in fact, not a fact that it will come.
Even when you take medicine, you have a belief that it will help you and it does.
We have more power than we think.
How is it written?
Go your way, your faith has made you whole. ( or healed you )
Or "be it unto you as you have believed".
OLAY!

Because most people do not think about death or the end.
It is self denial of mortality. No one wants to think in the next 10 minutes they may have a massive heart attack and that would be it.
