It's the same for women understanding men. We are just very different creatures and we communicate in different ways and have different priorities. Try truly listening to her and trying to understand instead of just trying to get past the issues. Oh yeah and that "Men r from Mars Women r from Venus" book overall is pretty pathetic, but there are some valid points on how we communicate differently. Good luck!

The reason i believe its hard for men to understand woman... Is because sometimes most men are confused themselves. I havent met a man yet that wasnt confused about something, anything and woman are the same...Except that woman take things harder then men...Emotionally especially..We think and feel and speak and run our lives with emotion..Men dont..Most woman are waiting or praying that there is a guy out there that understands the emotional rollercoaster were on all the time...

women are more into details than most men. there are some exceptions to the rule.
women have their own ways just like men do.
women have a hard time understanding men and men dont understand women. its called communication and when you find it, its beautiful

Friend, that's the equivalent of asking, why were they made in the first place.
Men are not designed to understand women, we're here to love them, help them and protect them. Leave the understanding part to the women. Just do your best..and they'll love you for it.
On the other hand, here's an advice which i got from a girl friend (duh..) when i asked her this..and this what she spoke..Think like a women and you'll start understanding women..so..my friend..do you really want to do that?

Cuz guys brains are different. There are books that will help. Sometimes women drop hints instead of being more direct. Look for what she is actually saying-read between the lines!

Even men are sometimes hard to understand. I guess it is because of individual differences. We are all separated by different qualities and that makes each of us unique. Understanding a man/woman is just a matter of putting yourself in his/her shoes.

read the book "men are from mars, women are from venus" - it really explains everything! Women have different outlooks on life than men do, in every situation possible. Read the book, i promise it will help you.
