I attended Vacation Bible School when I was little, up untill I was about 7th grade and realized I really didn't identify with Christians anymore. I liked the arts and crafts (the least bible induced part of it) but the rest, not so much.

I am now Pagan, but I went to a Christian girls' camp for several summers. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun. There was bible study, and we sang cutesy worship songs before and after eating in the mess hall everyday at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was an awesome time. I don't regret going at all and I'm not even Christian anymore. It's a fun way to socialize with other children of like-mind and study religion. It was the best. I have wonderful memories of it.
(Camp Cherith in Albert, ME. Here's their website! It's an awesome place for parents to send their kids.

It's a great place to meet Jesus Christ and know how to identify the perverts in your Christian camp who teach about Jesus Christ when you have children.

I don't know anything about the movie.
As for Christian children's camp, any forum where children can have fun learning about God is great!

I went ever summer when I was little for one week. I really enjoyed it and still have very fond memories of Mrs. BArt's wonderful cooking, swimming, drinking well water, flag raising ceremony every morning, learning to clear your table and clean your cabin.

something like Hitler youth was....brainwashing for impressionable young minds.
Indoctrinate them when they are young and malleable. Thats why the military likes 'em young too....turn them into baby killers without asking any questions.
