Whatever you do, DO NOT have the pound to pick him up, they will euthenize him within 3 days (I know from experience). What would keep you from keeping the cat? He apparently is used to staying outdoors and you can continue to feed this poor creature. I know plenty of people who feed strays. If you are determined not to keep him, look for a NO KILL animal shelter to take him to, but please, choose wisely.

You made the mistake of feeding him, now he expects you to always feed him. He thinks you are a friend, and unless you prove otherwise, he will continue to show up. Is it such a problem that he is in your garden? If you stop feeding him, he will return to wherever he came from when he realizes he's not getting any handouts. If he stays for a long time, I would take him to the SPCA so they can find his owners or adopt him out.
If you don't want him in your yard at all, try a squirt bottle or loud noise when you see him, and he should get the idea. Good luck!

Shouldn't have fed him. He won't go away for a while, but here is an idea. Keep him as an outside cat! My mother in law has 3 that just showed up one day and she has them outside. They keep the skunks and other rodents away from her house! It's probably not going to eat anything in your garden, but it will sure keep the things you don't want out of there! Just a little tip! Good luck!

I suppose he has no collar? and you asked around to see if anybody lost a cat?
Well ask the local humane society for a humane trap, someday when you are going to be around for the whole day and catch kitty. Take him to them. He might have one of those micro chips in his neck and they can get him home.
Or they can clean him up and find him a home.
Do any of your friends need a cat?
How about their friends? Cousins once removed?
He is keeping rabbits from eating your garden you know.

If he is friendly and you can pet him you should try to catch him and bring him to a shelter, they can find a good home for him, if he is faral you should call animal control and they can catch him and fix him and release him somewhere else. It is too bad that those people fed the cat now he is expecting food and should be looking elsewhere. Hopefully it will all work out.

I'd take him to a shelter of some kind or perhaps the pound as he may be a lost family pet. If he is a stray and no one wants him call animal control. If he persists moth balls in garden areas are usually helpful. If all else fails call your local law enforcement and see if its ok to blast the sucker............Good luck.

Just keep not feeding it. It will take longer than a week for it to stop coming around if it has found food around there before or take it to your local animal shelter.

They hate to smell oranges, lemons and mandarines.
So spraying around smth like eau de toilette with citrus scent would help.
