Shut up Evil, She is having a hard enough time as it is,
I know Exactly what you are going through, My cat had the same thing, she threw up and peed blood every where, and the medicine and the medicated food that the vet gave us didn't help, she was my first ever cat, and she was my baby, but she lived a good long life, she was 11 years old and the most beautiful white cat ever a hymalaian, (I know I spelled that wrong) but we had to put her down about a year ago, she was my baby and I was extreemly upset for months, but I'm okay now, you may have to put your cat down, and I know that is not the answer you wanted to hear, but you can only afford the vet bills for so long, and if nothing is helping, you cat is dieing anyway, don't let her die a slow death, just get it over with, it's better on you emotionally and better for your cat. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but everyone has done all they can do at this point.

I am assuming the medication is from a veterinarian and she has been diagnosed with liver disease and the vet has ruled out other possibilities. I am also assuming that you keep in touch with the vet and he is aware of her weight loss.
Please take all of these steps if you haven't.
Have your tried Yahoo groups for "feline liver disease" or Scottish Fold? You might find some helpful people there who have had your experience.
I now have a second cat with an incurable cancer. I had to euthanize the first three years ago because mammary cancer was in his lungs and he couldn't breathe. The second cat has bladder cancer -- untreatable and aggressive. He is going on two months following surgery and is doing very well. Still I know I will have to face the issue of euthanasia in the future. I just don't know how long it will be.
It is a really tough situation to be in. Our dearly loved furkids are going to leave us!
You have the option of seeking further diagnosis from a specialist and you need to ask your vet about this.
If your darling is still not acting sick you must cherish the time you have with her. You will know when you must take final steps if she is suffering and you know her quality of life is poor.
Your have my heartfelt feelings for your sorrow. You are not alone --so many people are standing silently with you at this time.

The first thing you need to do is take her to the vet! If you have done this already, I would definitely get a second opinion right away. High protein foods are good as long as they also have the vitamins packed into them as well. A pure protein diet isnt good for any pet or human for that matter. Make sure your baby is getting a well balanced diet. But do take her to a vet or get a second opinion on her condition. I would hate to see you lose your baby just because of a misdiagnosis. And, its not that uncommon for one doctor to miss something that another doctor can find/identify. Its worth your peace of mind and the life of your cat to spend a little money now and find out what is really going on with her.

I don't know what it could be, but I'm assuming you've taken her to the vet because you have medicine.
If she doesn't act like she's sick then I would think you don't have to worry about putting her down yet.
She might be losing weight because it's summer, and hot, and she's not as hungry.
I have 4 cats, and 3 of the 4 have FLV and in the summers they lose a LOT of weight, but they act fine. Have you had her checked for FLV?
Also, as far as making her better, I'm sorry to say this, but it doesn't sound like she's going to get "better". Just make sure you spend as much time with her as you can while she's here, and spoiler her rotten!
Keep her comfortable, and when the time comes to put her down, you'll know, and she'll know. I don't know how to explain it. It will be HARD, but you will get through it.
She's here now though, so take as much advantage of that as you can.

BEER ROASTED CAT
1 cat cut into roast
1 can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cube of beef bouillon
1 clove of garlic
1 Fine Irish Stout, like Guinness
Cover and soak cat roast in salt water for 24 hours. Drain water and then cover and soak in beer for 6 hours. Drain and place in crock pot with your cans of soup. Add a clove of garlic, and a cube of beef bouillon. If you start to slow cook your cat in the morning with your George Foreman Cooker (or it's ilk), you'll have finely cooked feline in time for supper.
If a slow cooker is not available, a cat can be baked at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours in a conventional oven and still come out pretty good. Beer Roasted Cat is fantastic served with mashed potatoes, collard greens, and fresh, homemade egg rolls. When planning a full meal just remember- cat is a course best served hot!
Cat may not be the most glamorous, or tastiest of game meats, but with a little thought and preparation, Baked Cat can make the belly of the persnicketiest diner glow with home baked goodness.

If her red blood cell count is low, it sounds like anemia, a fairly common disease in cats. The doctor should check for such symptoms as pale gums and pale eyes, and heart murmur. An effective treatment against anemia in cats is the drug Epogen.
Possible cause for anemia, in addition to liver problems, could be an intestinal parasite. It could also be the so-called Heinz-body anemia, which is caused by the cat eating onions, or ingesting a drug similar to Tylenol (acetominophen), or propylene glycol.
There are many other possibilities... the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, FIV (cat version of AIDS) also causes similar symptoms... The doctors should be able to narrow it down via blood tests.

It sounds like just what you said it could be. Liver disease and if that is the case then you could a couple of things. First, try another vet. Maybe the one that you have isn't giving the right meds. or the diagnosis is wrong. Treat your cat just like it were a human and get a second opinion. Second, if the meds. that she is currently on aren't working, then yes, maybe its time to put her out of misery. I wouldn't want to be the cause of my pet being in pain and if all other options have been met and tried, then maybe its time. I hope you find out what is causing the problem with her.

Check with numerous vets. Get as many opioins as possible. It could be feline leukemia. It causes weight lose, and lose of strenght. It is also common and highly contagious among cats.
