I know the people down in the south us calls all carbonated beverages cokes. It doesnt matter if its sprite or dr pepper or pepsi....What states are ya'll from that doesnt do this, and what do you call your "cokes"?

Normal converstion in Texas, " Ya wanna coke", " yea", "what kind do you want"

LOL Sounds like Coke out of Atlanta practices mind control. In Illinois I ask for soda, but sometimes people call it pop.

My mom used to live in the midwest as a teenager, and they called carbonated drinks "pop". When she moved to the east coast, everyone called it "soda", and she didn't want to say that, so she said "Coke", and drank nothing but Cokes for years. :)

In NY we say whatever's on the can.....Coke is Coke....Pepsi is Pepsi

I'm from NYC and we call our beverages by the name on the can. Novel idea, huh?
