So you want to put chemicals on top of more chemicals? No, don't do that. The only thing that is going to "flush the drugs out of his system" is not doing any. Adding more chemicals is just going to complicate things. Most drugs are out of your system in about 2 weeks, at least the ones I do are. However, if he was a heavy user it may take time for his brain to reroute the connections in his head. For example, a friend of mine used to do acid frequently, like 4 or more times a month. It took a few years for him to stop seeing "tracers" (little faint light trails) on anything that was moving.

As far as I know there is no proven over the counter formula that will flush drugs out of your system.
Health food stores market products that are supposed to help flush "toxins" out of your system, but I'm pretty certain that none of them would help your friend pass a drug test. If that happens to be the standard for a successful flush.
Try calling your local hospital for an ask a nurse line, or dial a nurse.
I think your friend should follow the advice of his or her physician. It may be an embarassing topic for your friend, but the doctor IS there to help.

Goldenseal root is great for that. You can get it at Walmart or any vitamin store. It also will kill any viruses or bacteria so have him eat yogurt to replinish digestive bacteria and don't stay on it for more than a week before taking a break for a few days. Read up on it.
