If the guy is a loser, he wants popularity, and thinks lying will get him that. If the guy is popular, he's a string puppet and has to lie in order to keep a reputation. Or simply he likes you and since you won't correspond to him, he feels belittled and decides to destroy you by ruining your reputation. Either way, I think is totally lame and stupid. To those guys I say: "Do yourself a favor, GROW UP!"

Ok, I'm not a guy but as a Mom of 5 and an ex- bartender, I feel a certain amount of qualification to answer you. I hope you don't mind plain talk but......Guys who do that are trying to feel manly 'cause down deep they are insecure about their penis size or crappy technique in bed or the fact that there just not getting any! I always told my boys (when they were old enough) "when your in the locker room & the other guys start talking trash about all the girls they been with, stop, look around, the guy off to the side , being quiet & just a little smile on his face is the one that's really the ladies man. Girls Know when guys talk crap about them. It always gets back to them. No lady likes a blabbermouth ! He MIGHT have been there once but he WON'T be again!" By the way, my sons are very quiet one that particulare subject, LOL

There are more men than not that would not kiss and tell. I think you have to be somewhere under 18 for you to see this.
These boys, for some reason, feel like it makes them the man if all there friends know he has had sex with a girl. And the hotter the girl the better it is.
Unfortunately it doesn't matter to some guys that it's not true. They wish it were and that's all that matters. For some reason they don't think anyone would believe you. It is always easier to believe a positive than a negative.
Get the word out to all the other girls that he does this and if he can't get any more dates you have your pay back.

I usually lie the other way around, like if were doing it every day and people are like whats up with you two, I'm usually like nothing were just chilling. But I never lie and said I did something we didn't do, I ve seen girls straight up embarrass the sh** out of a guy in front of everyone one he knows so I learned from his mistake.

That happened to me before, the guy was a friend of mine and I guess he liked me so he said, but I think he just wanted it. Anyway I was in a relationship and I wouldn't give it up so he told his friends we had sex anyway, I don't know some guys are just pigs! Maybe he didn't want them to think he actually couldn't get me?

If the lie is that you are while you're really not, he's obviously trying to boost his own ego... and very stupidly if those who he's bragging to know you
If the lie is that you aren't when you really are (doubtful, since you're venting on Yahoo), he probably thinks its something special just between you two.

to a guy, the more girls he has slept with, the cooler he thinks he is... he may be trying to get his friends to think he's cool. either that or he doesn't want anyone else to have you, so he's claiming he does... either way, talk to him about it and tell him that he better get the story straigh b/c before you know it you will have a bad reputation for no reason

To get some increase of that image of "macho" man no woman can risist..... It is stupid. I knew some guys do it to have a respect from other guys, so that others would think "oh, he was able to break her down. he is a real man. he did something I had no balls to accomplish" That's why they do it.... It is so stupid.
