If you really want to be an Opera Singer, you will not make it with out the adequate training. Find a Bel Canto Opera Teacher, (voice Teacher) The Best Opera Singers In the World Have being trained with Bel Canto Technique. To Sing Opera is not just have a Good Voice for that... You need a complete training, Voice technique, languages, acting, scenic movement, You need to know how to read music...

There are many things you need to learn to be a good Opera Singer. As I wrote above, you need to find a Good Teacher, may be this teacher can prepare you to do auditions for Music Schools or Colleges.

To Study BA degree in Voice Performance you need to audition to get in the Conservatory Of Music, They Ask for an Opera or Oratorio Aria, and 2 or 3 Art songs, you need to sing at least in 3 different languages. For Example, English, German and Italian, or French, English and German... etc. you have to take a test of music theory and maybe you will need to do some sight and singing too.

As you see dear, you need to train your voice and your mind to be an Opera singer.

I hope I have answered your question.

First thing is to get training. Second is to start at a local opera or so. Talent without discipline can be useless. Not that it can't be done. With Opera especially there is alot of things such as breath support and how to hit notes w/o strain. After you get knowledge in your local I'd go a little higher. Work your way up. Most of all work towards that goal. Don't give up. People will notice if you have a wonderful voice. Then get into a record studio. Once you have local support it should be alot easier to get into a studio that is well known.

What is stopping you from getting out there an performing. There are very few singers who can just be picked up for recording contracts. I guess what you could try is making a demo tape and sending it out there.

In the mean time (before you get discovered) you should try to get as much performance experience as possible. You should try audition for roles, there are tons of jazz clubs, light opera companies, etc.

Good Luck

You need to do Something. Getting out and singing is a way to meet contacts who can get you a singing gig and point you in the right direction. Open mike nights, Kareoke at a bar, or a Church Choir. You need to get out and sing in public.

And the more you sing in public, the more stage pesence you will have. You need to have the actual experience of being on stage.
That way when you do get your big break to audition for a record label or opera company, you won't be nervous and will have experience behind you.

If you are really as talented as you say....then nothing!

But if you don't commit yourself to it seriously and get your butt out there, then nothing will happen. It can happen but you have to be willing to make very serious sacrifices of your time. In the process why not start training. There is a much steeper hill to climb without some training, but its neither impossible or too late to start. Is it Hollywood or bust? Plenty of people have comfortable and fun lives working in music. I have made a good bit of money playing and teaching music. If I didn't have kids I would still be doing it, but I have chosen to spend more time with my family than with my music.

The biggest obstacle to overcome without any training is the need to read. There will be times when you will be forced to sight read....not being able to will be your biggest impediment....so get to learning!

It wasn't the first episode, that was on Sunday night. I loved it when that woman with the cats came on stage and the whole thing was a disaster. One of her cats was bug-eyed and his eyes nearly popped out of his head when Simon Cowell hit the buzzer. I loved that! (It's a pity Ant McPartlin had a hissy fit about cat hairs on his clothes. Declan Donnelly didn't say anything even though he carried a cat as well. We know now who's the diva in that pair.)

You are worse then zero. If you have the talent you say you have you have an obligation to develop it. There are people who would die to have what yoju have but they work hard anyway.

get some training if thats what you want to do. the chances of you succeed just based on talent alone is kind of hard. after you start going to a teacher start networking and going to local clubs and talking to the owners telling them you would sing there and such, then after you have a following start playing the biggest clubs you can, and promote promote promote
