I have been with my boyfriend for about 3 months, and I have found it very hard not to get completely attached to him. I have a feeling that we might break up soon, because we have had a few problems in the last few weeks, and I don't exactly know how to deal with something like that. I have only been with one other person that I liked almost as much as my boyfriend now. It took me almost a full month to get over him, so it will take forever to get over my bf now. We had a pretty bad fight the other day, and i figured that would be the end of our relationship, but he said that he didn't want us to break up, but he did want to slow down on all of the sex stuff. So I don't know what to think anymore if you have any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

I can tell you from experience...a full month to get over someone is painful, but not the end of the world. When you're young time seems longer and dating somone for longer than a month is an eternity. You will be connected to anyone you have sex with and most likely you'll have to learn to get over people because you're not going to spend forever with almost every guy you date (obviously.)

If you are not happy with this guy, move on. It's all part of the learning process. If you're still happy, stick around. You can't stay in a miserable situation because you're afraid the breakup will hurt.
