I do. Its not that the end slices are inferior to the rest of the loaf, I just don't prefer the end peices.

I like the pieces right smack dab in the middle, because they are the same size. As you get down to either end, they get a little smller than the one before. This means that when you are eating your sandwich, you may run out of bread on one side before you do on the other. Kind of like eating a Subway sandwich. I run out of bread before I run out of the good stuff. Very annoying!!!! Then I use the ends for bread crumbs or feed the birds.

Yes and I do this even when I'm going to eat toast. I save the end slices almost to the very end (to keep the ones inside fresh).

i get the second piece of bread. the one right behind the end slice...not sure why i do that...that's just how its always been done. :D

yes want fresh bread so the inside is the best
