My mother birthday is next week and need ideas for gifts? She is really hard to buy a gift for as she alaways says I don't need anything.
The only rules are, it can't be a present for the house (hates that), and it has to be sopmething useful (or she will say why did you by that?)
ANy ideas on do it yourself gifts?

Boy, you didn't plan ahead much lol. Locket with a memorable picture or two in it. Mother's ring, Mother's necklace with her children's' birthstones in it. Personalized Stationery, Jewelry box or maybe a decorative frame with a picture she loves in it. A basket with all her favorite bath and show item in it. Tickets to an event or concert that she would enjoy. Make a donation to her favorite charity in her name. Organize her accumulation of pictures in albums really nice for her. Gift Certificate for her favorite restaurant.

well it cant be that hard when you think of it this way... she a woman, your a woman... what do women want... you could get her the movie what women want lol or books, purses, framed art that reminds you of a special time, maybe your own framed art, spa gift certificates are great, treat her to night out for dinner with your dad or yourself at her favourite restaurant anyway the list can go on but dont forget the flowers, we all love them

Maybe a themed goodie basket - ex. if her hobby is reading, you can fill a basket with a book or two, candles, bookmark, chocolates, cup with special tea, etc. Gift certificates are always good (for manicure/pedicure, restaurant). Better yet, take her on a special outing.

Well my mama is the same why so i understand! You can t go wrong with all those new kitchen Appliances they have out now (Like a smoothie maker, Ice cream maker, pop corn machine) you know something fun. Target.com has a bunch of cute stuff. Get her something she could use when you have company over.

well like u said she don't want any thing that can be used in house . best thing is get a beautiful cake for her from market.or if u find it good get her a cute small aquarium. but since u said nothing for home stuff. so u should go for cake+card+flower.hope this Will help u.tk cr

Sounds JUST like my mum. Buy perfume or clothes. Or make a picture frame with a favourite picture. Hope it works.

you just collect some memorable pictures and then make a collage and write some sweet messages. i hope she like it.
