how come women always sell theirself short when it comes to being a great catch?

I have a friend and she is always talking about her flaws and i never really hear her say anything positive about herself. I compliment her all the time because she's amazeing to me.

I am like your friend. I know there are positive things about myself but I don't take compliments well and I don't like admitting to them because I think their just standard good things.

Because either there are the people who see all their own flaws or there are the ones that see none of their own flaws. So basically you can be with someone who is stuck up and too good for anyone else, or someone who sees all their faults. I myself say that I pity the man I end up with, just because I don't think that highly of myself, but I know what I want and don't want to be told otherwise. Yeah, people are weird and don't always makes sense, but you have to accept them as they are because there isn't much you can do about it.

some women have been put down all their life and it is hard to get out of being slammed. You start believing it after awhile. She might have been treated badly growing up as a child or had a man once that put her down no matter how wonderful she looked.
