Just fill one plate with some of the food that you like, and then go get a few bite size pieces. Get some dessert and you're done. You don't have to pig out like everyone else.

Yes I hate buffets too. But America seems to love them. Greed has a lot to do with it. You seem to have good common sense and a sense of proportion, so for us, we should stay away from buffets. Unless we want to go just to watch people eat. Sometimes the amount and the greed shown at buffets is pretty entertaining.

I went to this place called Super Buffet. They had over 150 items and you could eat as much as you wanted for 10 bucks. It was the most glorious meal Ive ever had. Korean BBQ buffets are pretty good too. U get to cook your own food.

I hate buffets with a passion...I wish that they didn't even exist. That's how much I hate them. Not because I eat all the food though, because I think the food is gross and also, I don't like serving myself.

If you saying this because people you eat with enjoy buffets. Suggest something along the lines of Fresh Choice or Sweet Tomatoes. I love buffets myself, but I can understand why certain people would not like them.

I like buffets because you can sample a lot of different kinds of foods. It does take "self control" and "maybe" that's your situation.
I had a friend once who would take me to buffets so he wouldn't have to spend a lot of money for food during the week. He would stuff himself silly...it was embarassing to see him do that. I almost croaked when I saw him ask the waitress if he could have a doggie bag and take more of the food home.

I hate buffets because I never get my monies worth - I only want a salad and a frozen yogurt - that doesn't seem like $12 worth to me.

Yes, I hate them, too. It is too hard to eat healthy there. It's just the restaurant's way of making money by getting customers to believe they are getting a really good deal. Unfortunately, eating too much is not a good deal at all.

I'm USELESS at a buffet... I only get the ONE thing I like, and nothing else... Besides, at My age (37) I much prefer to have a waiter or waitress do the walking...

Buffets are good for people with self control. Not so much for the impulsive or fatties. If you can't control yourself, don't go.
