Product may not help; you may have a vitamin deficiency; Try taking a really super charged multi vitamin...with extra Calcium; I have the same problem and this helps me....For the brittle hair, can't do much with the old hair except maybe a hot oil treatment; I would suggest going on the vitamins for at least 2 weeks, then get a short summer haircut; continue taking the vitamins consistently even after 2 weeks!

If you have bleached your hair recently, You have left the bleach on for too long and your hair is snapping at the root's..
The best thing for hair that is really brittle and dry, is a lot of intense conditioning treatments. Also try using Palmer's cocoa oil, its pretty popular and you should be able to find it in your chemist or shop, just leave it in your hair for around 1 hour, its not made for hair, But leaves your hair shiny, and the natural properties of the oil should mend some of your hair..
If you keep having problem's you should see your doctor, you may have alopecia..
Hope this help's ;)

Try taking a good multi-vitamin, supplement that with silica. Silica is easy to find in the health food store. It will take at least a month to start seeing some results, and six months to really assess if this works for you.

Good luck.
