Hmm
CHange I would give back if I knew it right away
If it was after I drove back I would if I remembered it.
If it was an item I would give back if I noticed it at the store. Once I got home I would probably keep it.

If I'm still at the store, I would return the money or item.
If I already started driving away, probably not, but I'd feel guilty for a few days.

If they give me too much change back I return it to them - if they forget to charge me for an item I don't think I would mention anything. SO in this test I am 50/50 honest!

Yes I would. I have done both in the past, to be honest. It's been as much as $5 and as small as a nickel. It's not mine to take.
I've also returned found wallets with all cash intact (and not accepted a reward), and once chased a guy down on foot to return an ATM card he left in the machine.

Yes Ive done it before,I wouldn't keep it under any circumstance. I will tell a lie if I can keep from hurting someones feelings or causing them embarrassment. Ive told a friend she wasn't fat she was just thick ,or Ive told someone I liked their new car ,when I didn't,because I knew they wanted me to notice that they had a different one,but they were so excited about getting this new car ,I wouldn't have hurt them for the world.
But money no Id never take any that didn't belong to me and I would make the person aware of the mistake ,smile and give it back.

I have always returned the money - even if it was a little over, like a quarter. I have also told them if they forgot an item. I have been rasied to be a very honest person, as it is the basis of all trust.
I think that if you are not able to be honest in little things like that, then I also think that it is going to be harder to be less honest in bigger things.

Since I've done both on more occasions than I like to count (it's not much of a testament to the intelligence or training of the clerk, now is it?), then I guess in that area I'm honest.

It has happened to me a couple of times and yes, I did own up! Guess I'm too honest.

Yes. It's happened before. I do point out the mistake. Failing to do so could possibly get them in trouble.
