Get the tiny purse sized hair spray..when the dog begins this, give him a spritz on the nose...If the owner objects, it is his problem, not yours..You have the right to protect yourself from unwanted behaviors, in whomever's home you are...You may also be helping the next victim..

It is a very annoying habit that a dog can be trained out of, but since your co-worker doesn't seem likely to try and change things... Perhaps you could simply ask for the dog to be put out or in another room since you are trying to do business and the dog is a "bit distracting". If your co-worker is too dense to get the hint, try something a bit more pointed like waiting until the dog acts up and then saying "I hope the rest of your family has better manners!" (or say "I'm glad" rather than "I hope" if you have met the rest of the family, don't want to offend more than necessary).
As for the dog, when he starts to get too friendly, don't try to be gentle when pushing him away, he may interpret this as petting or playing. Give him a flick on the nose and say "No!" sharply, then look away from him. You can add on something humorus such as "you at least have to buy me dinner first!" to keep the mood light with the others at the meeting. Ignore the dog as much as possible, he will go to someone else for attention if you do not give it to him.
It is an uncomfortable situation but your other co-workers are probably feeling uncomfortable for you, too. They should not think less of you for standing your ground.

Take a small packet of pepper from a fast food place with you, and the first time that it goes to sniff your crotch, put the pepper in your hand, and put your hand in your lap. Option 2, is to refuse to go into the house. Tell them that you've developed an allergy to HER pet, and unless she confines the animal, you won't be able to attend the meeting. Report this condition to your immediate supervisor in writing before the meeting. If she refuses to contain the animal, get up and leave. This can probably be considered sexual harrassment, if the dog doesn't do it to anyone else, and you're required to attend the meeting.

Dogs have very sensitive nose. Unfortunately, some people give out a lot more scents down there than others. The combination is not good. Before you go to that meeting, make sure that you take a thorough shower, use a lot of unscented soap and wash down there. Try not to sweat on the way to your co-worker’s house and you should be fine.

To explain the behavior, in a dogs world this is the proper way of greeting. Sniffing another dogs genitals tells the "sniffer" about health, mating status, as well as other things. So the dog isn't really doing something wrong, he's simply uneducated as to proper people etiquette. You could bring a few treats along (make sure the owner doesn't mind) and give them to him to distract him from discovering your private info.

You tell the dog no and point his face in a different direction. All of my dogs have some type of issue and many times when I have tried to stop them from aggravating company the company says its okay. I know my dogs will listen to whoever so I leave it to them. If they say something to one of my dogs and it doesn't listen I will repeat it to show that I am on the persons side and will take care of it if need be. I have five large dogs that literally will bombard people.

Bring a rawhide bone or some type of chew toy next time, and play with the dog using the bone (to distract it from your crotch).

Be assertive. Tell your coworker in a nice way, "When your dog noses me, I feel very uncomfortable. I can only attend the meeting if you move the dog to another room. Is that agreeable with you?"

The owner is stupid and insensitive. Insist he/she cage or remove the dog (garage, outside, etc.) during the meeting, or refuse to attend if this is not done until taken care of.

keep a doggie snack in your pocket..at least this way the dog will be sniffing your side & not your crotch.
Or you could simply confront the owner when the dog does this..
