You must convert the pictures' format to gif or jpeg through an editting program.
Most pictures on the internet are already gif, jpeg, or png so you really shouldn't have to convert.
Take the pics off the internet, then upload them on a free hosting site, like www.photobucket.com to get a special URL that you can paste onto your myspace page to affix the image there.

1. u have to make create a profile at: www.photobucket.com
2. upload the pics that u want on ur myspace.
3. highlight the code of the pic that u want on ur profile.
4. right click the highlighted code, and click COPY
5. then go to ur myspace page, and click EDIT MYSPACE
6. then whichever category that u want ur pics in, u go to it
7. right click and click PASTE
8. and the code should come up in the box
9. then go to the top of the myspace page, and click SAVE ALL CHANGES
10. and after it saves, go to PREVIEW PROFILE
11. and the pics should be ON ur myspace page.

i've tried that before, instead of having a big pic use a small one, then it wont say it needs gif or jpg............... usually the file is too big for the space provided

Save them onto your computer and then save into a Photobucket account. All pics will have a link you can insert directly into myspace.
