I do not think you are supposed to have caffeine

As a woman who has visited a perinatologist and asked this question: Yes it is okay to drink an occasional coke or soda, just don't do it everyday. The baby is trying to establish a normal healthy heart rate and the caffeine intake will speed up the heartbeat. But I was told that it is only in cases where the mother is drinking nothing else or not enough other healthier drinks during the pregnancy. Hope this helps! I am pg with my second baby too! Just found out tonight!

I drank cola and both my kids were healthy at birth. I think there's a little too much hype over what a mother can and cannot eat or drink. Just don't over do the cola, that's my only suggestion. And don't drink diet's, it's harmful to you cause of the aspertame so imagine what it would do to your unborn baby.

Every now and then, sure. Just try not to do it every day or every meal.

If you are going to drink coke, drink regular coke. I would not be drinking stuff with artificial sweeteners when you are pregnant. No matter what they say, they just don't know enough about what those things do. I really believe they are bad for you.

BUT, if you happen to be trying to quit drinking alcohol or drugs or smoking, and drinking coke will help you, by all means, drink that coke!! Drink it like there's no tomorrow!!

i think it is ok for you to drink it. i drank coke with my first child, but move to dr pepper with my second. because coke made my stomach upset all the time. both of my kids were and still are healthy. i let my kids drink dr pepper, coke, pepsi, or what ever. they dont drink it all the time, but occasionally does not hurt them. people make to big of an issue wth what pregnant mothers should and should not do. i think the only thing you should not do is drink alchol( how ever you spell it) and do any kind of drugs. other than that i think you will be just fine. you would be surprised what will and will not acutally hurt your baby. i had a friend who smoked during her pregnancy, and her baby was healthy. i only smoked until i found out i was pregnant.

You can drink cola.
You just can't drink it everyday all day.
I drank a 500ml coke every other day when I was pregnant and my baby is just fine.

You just have to be careful because you don't want to get gestational diabeties from all the sugar intake.

"The experts" suggest you only drink it in moderation.....Just like anything else
I've been drinking a coke a day while prego. That's my coffee.
Remember it's just more weight to take off after baby is born.

Try to stick to water. It's much better for you

Remember no asperthame.

Yes, it's okay. You should probably drink only one bottle a day or less. It's pretty sugary so you should be careful because of the potential of developing gestational diabetes without knowing it right away.

As long as you don't overdo it. I let myself have one Diet Coke every day while I was pregnant, but I didn't have any other caffeine (like coffee or tea). This didn't cause any problems for me or the baby. You may want to check with your O/B or "What to Expect" as well on this one.

Nope, definitely not. But honestly, I crave for sweet gassy drinks when i'm pregnant with my 3 boys. Have a bit, but be sure to cut to minimum since your sugar level tends to rise during your pregnancy....
