Did the price of a salad decrease when the illegals came?...Did the price of houses decrease when the illegals came?..The fact of the matter is that labor is such a small percentage of the over all cost of food that there will NOT be any noticeable increase.

It doesn't matter. You will more than make up for it in reduced costs for social services that illegals are getting now. If this is the best argument you can come up with for illegals being here, that lettuce will cost more, then you have already lost the battle, sweetheart.

It has been estimated that if farm worker wages rose 40% (out of the poverty level) the average family would only pay $10 more PER YEAR.

Most of the money is in transportation, etc. Very little of the cost is related to worker labor.

the fact is that in america we are so inventive and resourceful, that we would and have built technology to replace the illegals and do their jobs, better in fact. the reason we have all the illegals is because of politics.
