lol this is cool.

Reminds me of when we made a wise crack about a mate and girl friend making out in the cinema and playing octopus stretchy arms

She snorted and said as if... when they first went to the cinema she was thining 'come on already'

When you see him start to great him with a hug

Engineer touchy activities ie playing pool or golf and needing lessons (even if your nickname is hustler) so he gets to put his arms around you and get close, u needing sun tan lotion, a hand out of a wetsuit etc...

Or challenge him to a girls are better the guys wrestle match (and go for it), or tickle competition or play something and offer the prize as he can kiss you if he wins you you kiss him.

Or try the cinema and rest up against him hoping he puts his arm around you... note he may try and accidently reach to far and cop a feel of you outer boob... Thats the boy verson of you trying the above to get a kiss.

If that happens then either of you get closer till noses touch and go from there.

Note most likly he is scared that if he tries anything you will storm off nad not be his friend anymore...don't scare him off let him feel you don't bite and like him... forget hard to get...

Thats happens after kissing in terms of hard to get any more then a kiss.

Pick the right moment. Lean over and take his face in your hands and then kiss him. Just a simple kiss and see how he responds. If he leans in and is open to the kiss that is great but if he seems a bit taken aback you can say "just wondered what that would be like".

You need patience, seriously. A kiss needs a good solid moment in order to be a worthwhile memory. Let it come naturally. Your quote may sound a little more desperate than it should.

Guys can be very shy at first, remember, women are much more used to showing emotion than guys are, and society allows women that luxury.

Young guys, especially, can be very, very standoffish. They are just learning about their feelings.

Don't push it. You will only instill fear. Wait until you see him a number of times. Remember, young guys are still getting used to even TALKING to girls, much less touching them.

Hug him tightly. Then pull your head back and look at his eyes. Then just go for it.
