The Gold Coast (North Shore of Nassau County) has a lot of estates. Montauk, where the beach and lighthouse are located, the Hamptons, to show off the big houses and the little chi-chi shops.

Well that's my home town, head over to Jones Beach, great. There are food places, pools, enjoy. Go visit the White House of Teddy Roosevelt, Oyster Bay, beautiful area. Take a scenic drive on Olde Northern Blvd, 25A. Take a stop over in Cold Spring Harbor. Lucky you!!!!!

It really does depend on your age... Greenport and Port Jeff are always nice (get out, walk around). Montauk is BEAUTIFUL - but now it would be a little crowded. 25 all the way to Orient Point is also a really nice drive. Very scenic and peaceful!

Definitely hit up Montauk for the beach and its light house. Jones Beach too - usually pretty crowded if you don't get there early though.
