Our business isn't going well and sometimes I feel like perhaps God is trying to show me to put Him first and not our business. Sometimes I just want to ditch it all and go get a job at Wal-mart. We have a nice beautiful house but I can't enjoy it because right now we're not sure if our business is going to make it.

It may very well be, since it appears you are being convicted. Why not spiritually turn your business over to God and see what He can do with it?

There are several reasons for things to go bad:
- You: You did not make the right decision at the right time.
- God is testing your faith because there are people who hate God when things go bad

In Quran God says"God will never change your current status unless you chage what is inside you" That goes for good or bad.

So when things go bad, it is a sign for you that something wrong is happening and a corrective action should be taken.

And ofcourse, you will learn a lesson as trail and error has been always the basic learning method.

As you are in business, you need experience and experience has a price and that things go bad is your means to learn more and if you make it work, that would mean that you can correct things when it is going bad and this is a great asset for you.

Most important, we need to balance between self judgment and the other factors around us when we are evaluating the situation.

I used to try to figure out all the signs and signals God was trying to send to me. Now I realize that it was a terrible distraction from what I should have been concentrating on: finding a solution for my own problems.

Owning one's own business is not easy. It's a great deal of responsibility and full of pitfalls. But it can also be well worth it. Seek help from other business owners. They may have faced the same problems you are now facing and come up with some creative solutions. Visit the business department of a local college or university. There are experts there who might be able to help you. And oftentimes they will do so for free.

Yes, but don't feel like it is because you are supposed to be putting God first. You have a LIFE to live here. You have yourself to support, as well as others. Try looking at things from an outsider's point of view in your business. What are you doing right? What are you doing wrong? If you were a customer of your business, what would you like to see changed? Every moment we live is a lesson, but I feel that in this case, you need to look at the smaller picture, not the Grand Design.

Do you give back to God? Does he get the first 10% of what the business makes? I am telling you it makes a difference.
Also, make your decisions for that business through God. I think all things happen for a reason and I believe sometimes we go through trials to get to a better place and to have more faith in God. Just make sure he comes first and you don't put the money first - that would be bad.God should always come first. Remember that.

I absolutely 1000% certain that your business isssues are related more to marketing problems or something else BESIDES God wanting to punish you. Id be curious to learn exactly what the issues are - Im betting a business major in college could figure it out faster than a preacher could...

If God exists, dont you think, with all the other BS going on in the world right now, his chosen people being killed i the Holy Land...do you think your business means SQUAT in the grand scheme of things?? If you do, youre more self-centered than you should be...

"IF" you can make your business go-then do it. Just don't allow yourself to fall into the trap of worshiping money. If you work at Wal-mart, you will not make enough money to buy groceries. Plus you will work a poor schedule. You can work from home and still honor God.
If your business was a bad deal from the start, or maybe God impressed on you not to do it-then you need to kill the beast.

Priorities. Many people can list them but what matters is whether or not we take action. You know what you want your priorities to be, will you act upon your beliefs?

I don't see why you can't have a business, home and still put your God at the top of your priority list. You have the answers, you'll just need to listen.
Many blessings.

Take a good look at yourself...You are trying to place blame outside of your own sphere of control...God (if there is one) is teaching me a lesson...Comeon...You are responsible for your actions and if they're resulting in your business performing poorly than take a good look at what you're doing and shake up some things. Start with believing in yourself and having a positive thought regardless of how badly things may/might be...You'll soon find that you may/might be able to turn them around if you just admit your errors, take owenership of them, and stop blaming God. STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY AND LOOK TO SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO TO MAKE THINGS BETTER! PEACE!

I'm sorry you are going through rough times. I pray that God will give you the grace and the strength to deal with this trial. I know one thing for sure...that God works all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

If you are a born again believer in Jesus Christ, nothing will come your way that God doesn't use to refine you and make you more into the image of His son, because the bible tells us this is His will.

Please trust the Lord and keep looking to Him. He will bring you through.

No. If things aren't going bad, that's possibly because I'm not doing them properly. So the only lesson I'd have to learn is how to do it well. But I don't think anyone is trying to teach me a lesson.
