Who swayed you to their way of thinking and how did they do it. If it was by promising you rewards for believing them and punishment for not ... and if you were a very young child at the time . . . If they stole your identity and replaced it with "sinner" . . . If they totally believed and never questioned what they were teaching you . . . Well, you know that stuff works because it did with you. The thing to do is to have lots of kids and raise them the way you were raised. You could also teach at the church Sunday school. As for adults, you'll be happiest if you stick with people who share your beliefs.
As for people who don't agree with you, they're not good for much of anything. No point to having a conversation with them. They could turn out to be better at manipulating your mind than you are at manipulating theirs.
P.S. I just went to your profile page and read some of your other questions and answers. Because you asked your question from the Religious section, seems everyone including me assumed you were a fundamentalist wanting to push your religion down other peoples' throats. WRONG! Still you got a lot of people to say some pretty cool things. Maybe the fundamentalists are swaying people toward being rational without even realizing it. Anyhow, sorry I misjudged you.

First have a persuasive argument, learn the rules of logic and the common fallacies. Most importantly have some independent objective evidence to back up your argument.
For example, most christians base their argument on " The bible says...." but that is making an assumption on the validity of the bible that non-christians don't accept. If others don't accept your premise and assumptions in the first place, then you will not be able to persuade them to your point of view.
I'm an atheist, and I like a good debate, and it's usually impossible to get one with most god apologists. The link below is a crash course in constructing an argument and the rules of logic and debate.

If you can present both sides of an arguement logically and coherently than maybe you can change minds. If you go about it by spewing singleminded scriptural refernces or telling folks that don't want to hear your message about being saved about being saved it's a lost cause. Without whys that are logical an coherent people simply won't listen. Particularly when it comes to religion. Despite presenting arguements that make sense people are set in their beliefs and they may/might listen to you but not change their minds. All you can do is respect that and move on. PEACE!

Well, mulipulation is one tactic but if your not very good at it I wouldn't suggest even trying. But if you have a solid arguement for whatever you want them to believe and you can argue against everyone of there points against it, you may just be able to sway them. Good Luck!

1. Logic and reason.
2. Appeal to emotions.
3. Force them at the point of a gun.
1 is the best, 2 can work but the "staying power" is less, and 3 only works as long as you hold the gun on 'em.

Is your faith so weak that you need others to validate it? Why else would you have a need to convince others?
I am not saying this to be cruel or insulting. I want for you to be secure and have a good foundation for your beliefs. It is more difficult to focus on ones self than to focus on others. But the rewards are much more satisfying.

Terrorism works wonders. You can tell them that if they dont beleive you and follow your mode of thinking, they will spend their eternal lives being tortured by a non-existent diety....that seems to work wonders on the masses...

Be happy in your life. Walk among flowers like a deer. Laugh with the heart of a child.
Only YOUR name will be on YOUR tombstone, not the names of every person you convinced in your life that you were right and they were wrong.

Mirror them in the way you sit, stand, etc . . . If they say, "I see" you will need visual arguments, if they say, "I hear ya . . . " they are auditory, so you would approach them with, "Listen . . . " you want to be as much like them as possible, but it also helps if you are right and you have evidence to support your beliefs and you do not present that evidence in an "I told ya so" manner, which would put them on the defensive.

State what you think. If we agree with you, we'll sway. Otherwise, there's no chance you can make it happen.
