I say go to college, major in what you want to do, then join the Air Force, you'll be well over an E1 just because you went to college, you'll be lean, mean, fit, and making a kickass amount of money.

It really depends on you! If you want a break from school, then go for the Air Force. Do you feel you need more discipline, or motivation in your daily life? Then, the Air Force.
If on the other hand you are eager to continue your education and have a pretty good idea of what you want to study, then go to college. You can always travel while in school, and then your life will still be your own.
If "adventure" calls, then the Air Force.
Trade-offs to both choices. Good luck in deciding!!

Go to college and get as much college as you can get, keep in mind that tons of illegals are flooding the cheap labor market and also with free trade the manufacturing is leaving the USA so get a degree that isn't affected as much by free trade like medicine or law.
