To come in?

They'll usually tell you how long it will take. It depends on the make, whether it's custom, etc.

To be proposed to?

Could be a few years. Some propose early (<2 weeks) while others propose later (>3 years). If this is your question, just wait it out. If you are so anxious, YOU ask him!

As long as you feel that you want to. There is no right or wrong answer. I have been with my boyfriend, now fiance, for almost 8 years. We were together for almost 6 1/2 years before he proposed and we couldn't be happier. While we waited he bought a house, and I finished 2 masters degrees. Now we are getting married Oct. 21, 2006!

Anything over 4 years is ridiculous. At that point you might as well consider yourselves married. Traditionally a courtship should last 4 years before marriage. 2 years of dating, courting, and getting to know one another better. And 2 years of an engagement.

My boyfriend and I will have been together two years exactly 28th December this year - we've talked about marriage from day one but recently are focusing on changing our relationship for the btter (basically). But if he doesn't propose by middle of next year, I'd start to think something was wrong.

For as long as you're willing to wait. My cutoff time was a year just because I wanted to get to know my fiancee for all 4 seasons, but at the same time, I didn't want to waste his time and I didn't want him to waste mine. I've learned that some men will wait as long as you're willing to let them wait.

Depends. If the relationship is definitly heading in that direction, keep waiting. If it's not, if you are stalled, then rethink the relationship. If you want marriage, and he won't propose, he might not want it. Talk to him if you haven't already.

If he's the right man, I don't think you can set a limit.

until you are both ready, you would know if the other person is willing to commit with you, i dont think it is something that should have a time on it. Dont force the person to get you a ring...those never last

2 years ate the max. You cannot wait forever

I waited 7 years. all my family says "it's about time!!" Love is always worth waiting for, but sometimes it feels like forever.
