I have HD HC3 camcorder when i transfer data to pc it ask file format.

Avi, converts the best, mpeg1 and 2 are best for overall sound and picture quality, wma is too much hassle it takes up too much space and is rarely used unless the taping of something very short and you want to take up the space. wma does have converting problems as well.. Never used mov. so I can not speak on it. Also go here and ask that question or read reviews ok? http://www.videohelp.com/ this has been my source for information for years.

mpeg1 or 2
is better than avi
wma is a windows format
mov is a quicktime format

It's not the quality that changes. It's the compression. They're all capable of high quality.

i think he best is avi as you can select the quality want
