NO...that isn't going to happen...at least not all of Israel...The primary beef is Jerusalem being a "Holy City"...What needs to happen is that it be made an International Free City like the Hague...not under the control of anybody including the UN...That will ease tensions greatly. The next thing that has to happen is for Syria and Lebanon to make some concessions along with Israel for the creation of an free and independent Palestinian State. Finally, ALL the Arab organizations bent on the destruction of Israel as a nation should drop that mantra and live/work for peace.

Absolutely not. Israel is a soverign nation and has borders. Those borders are not closed to visitors and are not closed to nonJewish people that want to come there to worship their God or follow their faith. Many hundreds of thousands of Christians go to Jeruselum every year, as do many Jewish people from around the world. I'm sure an equal amount of Muslims find retreat there as well.
Just because the Holy City falls within the borders of Israel doesn't make it a world city. Israel has not forbidden anyone from visiting and worshipping. Right now they are just defending themselves proactively.
Think about how the US would react if Cuba or Mexico were launching rockets into Florida or Texas. We wouldn't just take out the one or two rocket launchers we could find. We would take away their ability to launch further attacks.
Israel is drawing world attention because they are attacking into Lebabon, which isn't attacking them....however Lebanon harbors the Hezbullah which is attacking them. If Lebanon doesn't want attacked, then they should have stopped the Hezbullah. Again, back to our situation from above. If a renegade group of Girl Scouts started shooting rockets at Texas from Mexico and Mexico wouldn't stop them....the US would attack into Mexico wherever they thought the Girl Scouts were.

That would not work because some people don't want to worship the same way, what you propose is to take that freedom away. Second, even if the UN takes over Israel, the conflict with the terrosists that have it in for Israel like hamas, hezbolla and others will still threaten it and blow themselfs up killing Israelis or throwing mussiles at Israel as they allways do. How could this help? Will the UN take over Palestine too and force them to worship a certain way?

The original purpose of the UN was to promote world peace, a roll that it has obviously not fulfilled. The 5 permenent members of the UN security Council would never agree to controling Isreal/Palistine. There's just too many different agendas floating around in thier heads. I belive the UN is corrupt and needs to be restarted, so the UN souldn't take over any country.

I think a neutral third party, like the UN, should make sure that Israel remains a safe haven for all Jews, but sites of importance to Christians and Muslims remain open to worship. It's such a disputed region, I don't think any one nation-state should hold it.
But I'm kinda tired of the whole nation-state concept. We all have mostly the same values and needs, we need to begin planning as a group. (economic borders, language borders, maybe even ethnic borders. But national borders aren't helping anyone these days.)

The UN needs a lead more in all aspects of war. It has been weakened by the strength of America and the weakness of the current leaders. It was set up to bring peace and safety in the world. Wars against Terrorism and natural disasters are showing the inablity of the UN to stabilise the world.

A genuine idea! The problem is that Israel is a sophisticated country and one that has exploited resources intelligently. The United Nations is an inapt organization loaded with corruption and incompetence. It will only make things worse.

I can recall from reading the Bible when God told Moses to tell Pharaoh, " Let my people Israel go." I think we are messing with the wrong people when it comes to Israel.
In their culture, they worship the name of Allah. We worship God. He is the one and only God whether you call him Allah or God. They believe in the Koran, we believe in the Bible. Same thing just worded differently. I have read a lot of the Koran and it is basically the same thing.
Furthermore, I think the U.N. should stay out of it. We are truly messing with the wrong people. God said no one will take my people, Israel.
Thank you and God bless you.

No way, the isrealies should move back out, this is never going to end otherwise. If I were Israeli I would renounce my brutal and tragic past and find another place to live. God doesn't like the middle east, he left a long time ago and doesn't want to have anything to do with those people, they do nothing but shame his name. (they being all the people that kill in his name be it allah, christ or jaweh). Conflicts like these are what sour people to religion.
