What happens is if you switch computers, the ipod will only update the stuff on the current computer. It does this automatically, but you can change your ipod settings in itunes to do manual updates. I suggest you do that. (Go to Edit then Preferences - click on iPod tab)
Then check with your aunt to see if she still has the music on her itunes and see if she can reload it for you, or if she can load them on a flash drive for you to transfer to your computer.

If you have iTunes on your computer (its a program) start it up. If you see your iPod in the left hand corner of the screen then the computer is recognizing it. Another way to tell if your computer is recognizing it, go to my computer and you should see (F:ipod) or something like that. If you need more detailed help e-mail me. I hope your using windows!

there's a software that's named "music equipment For Ipod." that's obtainable for type of $20 from maximum suitable purchase/Circuit city/Compusa/etc. The utility lets you function songs out of your ipod and to sync it to the recent computer. devoid of use of a few secondary utility (like music equipment) that's impossible. Edit: music equipment will enable the Ipod to renowned on the recent laptop, upload each and all of the songs from the Ipod to the recent laptop, and set it as prevalent so as that it syncs sooner or later.
